If it says "Made in China" on the back of the package, it is not a real JAPANESE ERASER. It is a counterfeit copy eraser made in very dirty polluting factories in China, they do not use the same safe materials and they do not follow the modern ethical standards on the enveironment and safety rules.

COLLECTOR HAVE SHARP EYES. You can tell the difference. You play and trade Japanese erasers in homes and schools, all it takes is a classmate/friend yell out “This is a Fake!” Part of the fun of collecting is your knowledge of your collection, whether it is a painting, jewelry or antique car, you become an expert by observing details.

HOW TO SPOT A FAKE?

1- It says “Made in China.” Real ones say “Made in Japan.”

2- Packaging is not as nice, often in English, but some copied our packaging word for word and every details, but the small print in the back says “Made in China.” Real ones has original packaging in Japanese and says “Made in Japan.”

3- Quality is poor, rough edges, poor fit and often heavy. Real ones are top quality.

WHY?

Not only the counterfeit quality is poor, material is heavier low cost non-recyclable PVC, made in polluting and dirty factories in China, they are illegal. The real Japanese erasers are original designs made in clean environmentally friendly factories in Japan with top quality recyclable green materials and recycled or recyclable packaging materials, good for the earth.

SOME STORES SELL FAKE ERASERS TO MAKE EXTRA PROFIT. Few stores mix in China made fakes among the real Japanese erasers, just to make few extra cents each eraser. Spot the counterfiet sellers and warn your friends about them.

These are actual pictures of the Chinese factory making counterfeit erasers and sold in United States, when you play with these erasers, they came from these dirty machines. Stores sell fake and poor quality erasers made in China which copied our original Japanese designs, because they want to make extra profit, they think parents and children don't know the difference and will never find out. Can you let your children play with anything came out of these machines?

CHECK BEFORE YOUR TRADE ERASERS, MAKE SURE YOU DON’T TRADE YOUR REAL JAPANESE ERASERS FOR COUNTERFIET COPIES. Collectors trade Japanese erasers, a rare eraser often trade for 10 erasers, or sell for as much as $40. Be sure to check the quality and make sure it is not a poor quality counterfeit eraser. It costs us average of 2 million Japanese yen (US$22,000) and 6-9 months to make a new Japanese eraser, the reason is because we take every detail so seriously, that is the Japanese way, same as when Japanese make cars, electronics and everything, every details, materials, equipments, safety, cleanness and the packaging. Each eraser must pass many safety tests. A counterfeiter just buy our Japanese eraser and copy it in China in dirty factory with poor quality machines, low grade materials and workers making 20 cents an hour. They put on a fake Japanese brand, sell in stores which knowingly or unknowingly willing to sell the counterfeits to make a few extra pennies each eraser. If many collectors don’t care about the ethics and quality, pretty soon we will not be able to make new Japanese erasers. These are fake copies made in China, they have nothing to do with Japan, but they call themselves "Japanese Erasers" and use fake Japanese sounding names. They cost 2-3 cents piece to make, but by calling them "Japanese Erasers" they can sell them in stores for $1, same price as real Japanese erasers, the stores make a huge profit by selling fakes. There is NO difference between these fakes than fake watches, fake purses, fake toys, fake drugs, fake auto parts. How do they do it? just buy our real Japanese erasers, copy them in China with cheap materials in polluting factories with workers making 20 cents an hour 16 hours a day and sell through stores which are willing to do it to make a few extra pennies by cheating American children and parents.
